This dynamic Irish folk band consisting of fiddle, vocals, guitar and drums formed in the Fall of '23 with a premiere performance at the Uptown Snug in Marion. Marita & the Lads have been blazing trails in the Cedar Rapids area ever since.
We are passionate about delivering a unique style of energetic Irish music to the Cedar Rapids area to create community, joy, and elevate Irish history and culture.

We are sometimes a duo, sometimes a trio! Flexible small group for casual appearances. Our music focuses on traditional Irish instrumental jigs and reels, and we play for the joy of sharing music and culture with others.
